Rules for artwork, accounts, and acceptable use of the PixerPrint platform.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines prohibited content and conduct when using PixerPrint's website, upload systems, ordering platform, and related services. Last updated: July 2026. By uploading artwork, placing orders, or interacting with our platform, you agree to comply with this AUP, our Terms of Service, and applicable Indian law including the Information Technology Act, 2000, intellectual property statutes, penal provisions relating to hate speech and obscenity, and regulations governing electronic commerce. Violations may result in order refusal, content removal, account suspension, termination, and referral to law enforcement.
Purpose and scope
PixerPrint provides custom printing services to businesses and individuals across India. We are neutral commercial printers but not unlimited — we refuse content that is illegal, harmful, infringing, or inconsistent with community standards and our brand values. This AUP applies to all Content you upload, order, transmit, or store through our services, including text, images, logos, designs, and metadata. It applies to B2C customers, B2B accounts, agencies ordering on behalf of clients, and corporate users. You are responsible for Content even if designed by a third party on your behalf.
Prohibited content: illegal material
You may not upload, order print of, or distribute through our platform any Content that violates Indian law or would aid unlawful activity.
- Counterfeit currency, forged documents, fake identification cards, passports, or government credentials.
- Content promoting terrorism, violence, or instructions for weapons, explosives, or hazardous devices.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexualised depiction of minors — zero tolerance; reported to authorities immediately.
- Content violating the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act or promoting illegal drug manufacture or distribution.
- Material facilitating fraud, phishing, pyramid schemes, or financial scams.
- Content that violates export control, sanctions, or regulated goods laws.
- Obscene material prohibited under Section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Indian Penal Code provisions, assessed in context of applicable law.
Prohibited content: hate and harassment
Content that attacks, demeans, or incites violence or discrimination against individuals or groups based on protected characteristics is prohibited.
- Hate speech targeting religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
- Content glorifying genocide, ethnic cleansing, or historical atrocities in promotional or celebratory contexts.
- Harassment, bullying, or doxxing of identifiable individuals without lawful purpose.
- Threats of violence or intimidation against persons or organisations.
- Symbols, slogans, or imagery primarily associated with hate groups when used in promotional or endorsing context.
Political campaign material and lawful advocacy are generally permitted provided Content does not cross into hate, unlawful incitement, or misinformation violating election laws. We may request context for borderline political content.
Prohibited content: intellectual property infringement
You may only print Content you have rights to reproduce. Uploading infringing material violates this AUP and our Terms.
- Copyrighted images, illustrations, photographs, or text without licence from the rights holder.
- Trademark logos, brand marks, or trade dress used without authorisation from the trademark owner.
- Characters, artwork, or designs from films, games, comics, or franchises without proper licensing.
- Stock imagery used in violation of stock licence terms (e.g., unauthorised resale or unlimited print distribution where restricted).
- Celebrity photographs or personality rights violations for commercial promotion without consent.
- Software fonts used outside their embedding or commercial print licence terms.
We respond to intellectual property complaints from rights holders. Repeat infringement leads to account termination. You indemnify PixerPrint for claims arising from infringing Content you supply.
Prohibited content: misleading and harmful material
Content that deceives consumers or causes public harm is prohibited.
- False or misleading advertising violating the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
- Fake certifications, unauthorised government seals, or implied official endorsement.
- Medical or health claims on printed materials without required regulatory disclaimers and approvals where mandated.
- Misleading financial or investment promises.
- Deepfakes or manipulated media used to defraud or defame.
- Content spreading demonstrably dangerous misinformation with intent to cause harm.
Prohibited conduct
Beyond Content restrictions, you must not misuse the platform itself.
- Attempting unauthorised access to systems, accounts, or data.
- Distributing malware, scraping beyond permitted use, or overloading infrastructure.
- Creating multiple accounts to evade bans, abuse promotions, or commit fraud.
- Misrepresenting identity, GSTIN, or business affiliation.
- Interfering with other users' orders or platform operations.
- Using automated bots to place orders without authorisation.
Content moderation process
PixerPrint employs automated preflight scanning and human review for flagged orders. We do not pre-screen every upload before proof generation but reserve the right to review any Content at any stage. Orders may be held pending clarification if Content raises concerns. You may be asked to provide licences, permissions, or explanations. We may refuse production and refund payments minus non-recoverable costs if Content violates this AUP. Decisions are made in good faith to balance customer service with legal and ethical obligations. Appeals may be submitted to hello@pixerprint.com with supporting documentation.
Reporting violations
If you believe Content on our platform violates this AUP or your rights, report to hello@pixerprint.com with subject "AUP Report". Include URLs, order references if known, description of violation, and evidence of rights ownership if filing an IP complaint. We acknowledge reports within two business days and aim to resolve within seven business days. Intellectual property complaints should include identification of the work, location of infringing Content, contact information, and statements of good faith and accuracy as required for notice-and-takedown processes under applicable IT Act rules.
Account termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts, refuse future orders, and withhold pending production for AUP violations, repeated policy breaches, chargeback abuse, or legal risk. Termination may be immediate without refund for prohibited Content already in production if law or policy requires destruction of materials. Outstanding legitimate orders unrelated to violations may be completed or refunded at our discretion. Corporate accounts with contractual relationships receive notice where practicable unless emergency removal is required. Terminated users may not create new accounts without permission.
Law enforcement cooperation
PixerPrint cooperates with law enforcement agencies, courts, and regulatory authorities when legally required. We may preserve and disclose account information, order details, artwork, payment references, and IP logs in response to valid legal process under the Information Technology Act, 2000, Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, and other applicable law. Emergency disclosures may occur to prevent imminent harm, especially regarding CSAM or credible threats of violence. We may proactively report apparent criminal content to the Cyber Crime Cell or appropriate authorities. Customers are notified of disclosures where permitted by law.
Agency and corporate responsibility
Agencies and corporate users ordering on behalf of clients must ensure client Content complies with this AUP. You represent that you have authority and have conducted appropriate diligence. PixerPrint may hold the account placing the order responsible for violations even if end-client artwork caused the issue. Corporate administrators should implement internal approval workflows before uploading client files. White-label dispatch does not reduce content responsibility.
No monitoring obligation
While we moderate Content, we are not obligated to monitor all uploads and are not liable for user-generated Content except as required by applicable law including intermediary guidelines under the IT Act. We act on actual knowledge of violations. Rights holders remain responsible for protecting their IP and notifying us of infringement.
Permitted uses and examples
The following are examples of generally permitted Content when you hold appropriate rights: business cards and stationery for legitimate businesses; marketing collateral for lawful products and services; event materials for registered events; educational materials for schools and training organisations; political campaign materials complying with election law; personal invitations and wedding stationery; packaging for legally sold goods; artistic expression that does not violate other sections of this AUP. When in doubt, contact hello@pixerprint.com before ordering sensitive Content.
Consequences of violation
Consequences escalate based on severity and history. Minor first-time issues may result in warning and required corrections. Serious violations — CSAM, credible threats, counterfeit documents — result in immediate termination and law enforcement referral without refund. IP infringement may lead to takedown and account suspension pending investigation. Fraudulent GSTIN use or payment fraud results in permanent ban and cooperation with authorities. We document enforcement actions for compliance audits.
Safe harbour and intermediary status
PixerPrint operates as an intermediary platform facilitating custom print under the Information Technology Act, 2000 framework. We observe due diligence obligations including publishing this AUP, providing grievance redressal contact, and acting on lawful orders and valid complaints within reasonable time. Our liability for third-party Content is limited as permitted by law when we comply with applicable intermediary rules. Nothing in this section limits remedies for our own breach of contract or production negligence under separate policies.
Regional and cultural sensitivity
India is diverse; Content acceptable in one context may harm communities in another. We may decline orders that risk communal disharmony, unauthorised religious imagery used disrespectfully, or content violating state-specific regulations even when not expressly listed above. Customers operating national campaigns should consider regional sensitivities. Government orders or court injunctions requiring removal are complied with promptly.
Employee and workplace standards
PixerPrint production staff shall not be required to print Content they reasonably believe violates this AUP or law. Internal escalation channels allow operators to flag orders for review without processing. We protect staff from harassment related to enforcement decisions. Customers who abuse support staff or production teams face account termination.
Specific prohibited product types
Certain product categories receive heightened review regardless of artwork content.
- Replica currency, stamps, or government seals without authorised purpose.
- QR codes or barcodes linking to phishing or malware destinations.
- Lottery, gambling, or betting promotions where unlawful in the recipient state.
- Unlicensed pharmaceutical or supplement advertising lacking required approvals.
- Firearm-related imagery promoting illegal weapons or unlicensed sales.
- Content sexualising minors in any form — absolute prohibition with law enforcement referral.
This list supplements but does not replace the general prohibited categories above. Context matters; educational or news reproduction may be permitted with documentation.
Trademark and brand owner complaints
Brand owners who believe their marks are infringed on orders placed through PixerPrint should submit notice to hello@pixerprint.com with "Trademark Complaint" in the subject. Include registration certificates or evidence of rights, identification of infringing Content, order reference if known, and a statement of good faith belief. We review notices promptly and may suspend production, contact the account holder, and remove repeat infringers. Counter-notices from customers who believe content was wrongly removed may be submitted with supporting licence documentation.
Government and regulatory requests
We respond to valid legal process from Indian courts, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies. Requests must identify the requesting authority, legal basis, and specific information sought. Emergency requests for imminent harm are prioritised. We notify affected customers when legally permitted before disclosure. Bulk or fishing-expedition requests without proper authority are rejected. Transparency reports on government requests may be published periodically at our discretion.
Cooperation with election and regulatory compliance
Political print orders must comply with Election Commission of India rules, including disclosure requirements for election materials where applicable. We may request candidate or party authorisation for bulk political print. Regulated industries — alcohol, tobacco, pharmaceuticals — require evidence of licence or compliance before production. Customers are solely responsible for regulatory compliance of distributed materials; PixerPrint prints to order and does not verify end-use distribution legality beyond this AUP.
Whistleblower and internal reporting
Employees, contractors, and partners who discover AUP violations in the order pipeline may report concerns internally without retaliation. Customers who observe another user's public-facing misuse of PixerPrint-branded materials may report to hello@pixerprint.com. We do not disclose reporter identity to accused parties except as required by law. Good-faith reports are reviewed even when the reporter lacks standing as an IP rights holder.
Integration with other policies
This Acceptable Use Policy works together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Returns Policy. AUP violations may void order warranties and limit remedies otherwise available under returns procedures. Content rejected under this AUP is not eligible for reprint or refund of production costs once identified, except where payment was taken before review and production had not commenced.
Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP to reflect legal changes, enforcement lessons, or service evolution. Updated versions are posted with a revised "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email to registered users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Orders in progress at time of update are evaluated under the policy in effect at upload unless law requires otherwise.
Responsible printing partnership
PixerPrint exists to help legitimate businesses, creators, and organisations produce high-quality print. We ask every customer to upload only content they are authorised to reproduce and to respect the law, intellectual property rights, and community standards described in this policy. When everyone uses our platform responsibly, we can focus on craftsmanship, fast turnaround, and reliable delivery rather than content disputes. If you are uncertain whether your artwork complies, contact us before ordering — we are happy to provide general guidance, though we cannot offer legal opinions on specific materials.
